Merck KGaA, a leading global science and technology company headquartered in Darmstadt, Germany, is among the world's top 20 pharmaceutical enterprises. Its operations span CDMO and contract services, drug development, and commercialization as well as electronic materials.

Since establishing its presence in BioSpark, Merck has invested over RMB 3.3 billion in Nantong, accounting for half of its total investment in China, with sales exceeding RMB 8 billion.
